Rotary Club of Redding High School Scholarship

FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY

The Rotary Club of Redding awards scholarships to high school students continuing their education. Scholarships are awarded to qualified graduating seniors from the following high schools:
- Shasta High School
- University Preparatory School
- Pioneer High School
- Stellar Charter School
- High school seniors enrolled in the Gateway to College program at Shasta College are also eligible.

When applying, please ensure that the following attachments are included with your application:
1. A copy of your high school transcripts
2. Three letters of recommendation from counselors and/or teachers
3. An essay (500 – 900 words) that relates to the Guiding Principles of Rotary or the Four-Way Test (Please view the application for more information on these essay topics)
4. A Financial Response essay (300 words or less) that explains the financial impact of a scholarship award in the amount of $500 – $5000 in assisting the applicant to attend and complete her or his educational goals.

If a scholarship is awarded, payment of the scholarship will require additional documentation to be provided at a later date verifying that the applicant maintained a minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA, has performed at least 10 hours of community service work of the recipients choosing, and proof of enrollment at a trade school, college, or university.
