Glenn-Colusa CattleWomen & Cattlemen's Continuing Education Scholarship
In an effort to encourage and reward continuing education, the Glenn-Colusa CattleWomen and Cattlemen are offering a scholarship which will be awarded based on need and achievement. This scholarship is being offered to students who will be entering their junior or senior year of upper division college or university work or students who will be entering graduate school for the Fall of 2025.
Candidates must be graduates of a Glenn or Colusa County high school with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. We want to honor and support students planning a career in an agriculture-related field, preferably with an emphasis on beef production or promotion.
The following information will need to be included with your application if available. Be specific, give dates, and use additional paper if necessary:
1. Honors Received: (College, high school, organizations)
2. School & Career Related Activities: (Membership, offices held, athletics)
3. Community Activities: (Civic, church, etc)
4. Employment: (Company, job title, responsibilities, length of employment, hours worked per week, etc.)
5. Autobiographical Essay: (Describe your life, interests, near and future career goals, etc.)
6. Two (2) Letters of Reference: (Professor, employer, beef industry leader, etc.) References are to be mailed directly by the person writing them to the address below. Please list the name and position/title of your references on your application.
7. Transcripts: Officially mailed from the college office.
