Military Order of the Purple Heart Auxiliary Scholarship (MOPHA) Unit 385

Applications for the MOPHA, Unit 385 Scholarship are available to any high school senior, existing students (related to a veteran) and student Veterans. The first scholarship of $500, will be awarded to a student Veteran. A second scholarship of $500, will be awarded to a high school senior or existing college student.

To be eligible for Unit 385, Military Order of the Purple Heart Auxiliary Scholarship, the student must be:
> A student related to a veteran, and be able to show how they are related; OR a student Veteran with I.D.
> A student with at least a 2.5 cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) based on a 4.0 Grading system.
AND
> A graduate or upcoming graduate (Senior) of a High School; AND/OR, has been accepted or enrolled as a student at an accredited Community College, State College, University, or Trade School at the time the Scholarship is awarded.

The student is to complete and sign the upper part of the attached application (See link provided when selecting the Visit button), and submit a 350-450 word (approximately one page, double-spaced) typed essay title: TOPIC: “Problems a Veteran faces when transitioning from military life to civilian life.”

Please return your completed application to the Unit by Email (Scanned copy)(Preferable) or Postal Mail (See application for mailing address and return email).

A letter or email will be sent stating the final results as to whether the applicant did or did not receive the scholarship. Applications that are not complete, or are not received by the deadline, MAY 31, 2025, will be disqualified and will not be submitted to the Scholarship Committee for evaluation.
